The conference is in Covington, Kentucky this year with hotel accomodations at the Holiday Inn Cincinnati Riverfront

2010 Service Project Announcement

ServiceFor our 2010 Service Project, we are conducting a Christmas Drive for the Barren River Area Safe Space which shelters and assists victims of domestic violence across ten counties in the southern Kentucky area. Gift Cards are requested from area stores such as Kroger, Target, Wal‐ Mart, McDonalds, Sonic etc...

All donations/gift cards will be used to purchase Christmas gifts for single mothers with children in the shelter and for those who are out on their own but stil l needing assistance. Some of the gift cards will be used by the BRASS staff to fulfill Santa wish lists from the children. Any amount of gift card is appreciated.

BRASS Director, Lee Alcott will be there Friday, November 12th to accept the donations at our annual conference.

KWLEN AWARDS:

Awards Nomination Form

Awards are presented annually during the KWLEN Training Conference. Awards nominees are selected by a committee appointed by the KWLEN Board of Directors. Awards are given for outstanding leadership and visionary contributions to the law enforcement; actions, activities or achievements of individuals who have significantly contributed to women in law enforcement in Kentucky; and actions or activities of persons who provide positive role models for our women in Kentucky law enforcement. Please consider potential candidates for the award categories during the upcoming year:
